Omar Waheed MA RP CSAT – Clinical Director

I am a Registered Therapist (RP) in Toronto, Ontario and I serve clients in the GTA and online across Ontario. I have focused my practice on behavioural addictions and have trained extensively to become a specialist in this area. I have the following qualifications:

  • Registered Psychotherapist with the college of registered psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) with independent practice designation. 
  • Certified sex addiction counsellor (CSAT) from the International Institute for Trauma and Addictions Professionals (IITAP) in Arizona. 
  • PhD in Sex Therapy in progress.
  • Extensively trained in gambling addiction from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. 
  • Extensive Trauma, Grief and Narrative therapy training from the Sick Kids Centre for Mental Health. 

Over the years I have worked at many clinics and agencies that focus on men’s issues and addictions. However a few years ago I made the decision to begin my own private practice. Overall, I’ve had the privilege of knowing clients like yourself and your families for over 17 years. I meet clients in-person at a meeting space in Vaughan or Newmarket, ON. However, I serve clients across the country via online therapy.

Parisa Parvinian BSW RSW – Therapist

I am a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in social services supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges. I specialize in helping people navigate addictions, eating disorders, and issues related to self-esteem. I bring compassion and expertise to each session.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical tools for managing difficult emotions, building healthier coping strategies, and creating lasting change.

My background in social services has given me a deep understanding of the complex systems and life experiences that shape people’s struggles. Whether clients are seeking support for recovery, personal growth, or improved mental well-being, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore goals and move forward with confidence.

Kari Heikkila MSW RSW – Therapist

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Ontario, offering virtual psychotherapy services to adults. With over 12 years of experience in community and hospital settings, I have supported individuals navigating the challenges of addiction, behavioural health, and co-occurring mental health concerns.

I also work with adults who have ADHD, mood or anxiety disorders, and difficulties with emotional regulation — challenges that often intersect with addictive behaviours. My approach is strength-based, trauma-informed, and inclusive. I support clients of all backgrounds to understand their experiences, reduce harmful patterns, and develop practical strategies for positive change. I draw on evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a down-to-earth style to my work. Using gentle humor and attention to underlying emotions, I help clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate challenges and make lasting changes.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Windsor and am a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My background includes work as an addiction counsellor and supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, eating disorders, anger, and stress.
