About Omar Waheed MA RP: Addictive Behaviours Specialist
I am a Registered Therapist (RP) in Toronto, Ontario and I serve clients in the GTA and online across Ontario. I have focused my practice on behavioural addictions and have trained extensively to become a specialist in this area. I have the following qualifications:
- Registered Psychotherapist with the college of registered psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) with independent practice designation.
- Certified sex addiction counselor (CSAT) from the International Institute for Trauma and Addictions Professionals (IITAP) in Arizona.
- Extensively trained in gambling addiction from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto.
- Extensive Trauma, Grief and Narrative therapy training from the Sick Kids Centre for Mental Health.
I have worked at many clinics and agencies that focus on men’s issues and addictions. I’ve had the privilege of knowing clients like yourself and your families for over 16 years. A few years ago I made the decision to begin my own private practice. I meet clients in-person at a meeting space in Vaughan, ON. However, I serve clients across the country via online and phone therapy.

I was born and raised in Ottawa, ON and now reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). When the weather is warm you can find me camping or mountain biking and when it turns cold I like to get on my cross-country skis. My wife, two children and I are frequently on the road taking long road trips across this beautiful country. As well, I am an avid reader; you can often find me on my couch with a good book.
